Évora is the capital of Alentejo region and one of Portugal’s most magical cities. A UNESCO World Heritage site, it’s home to the famous Roman temple, medieval walls, whitewashed houses.

At the heart of the city stands the Roman Temple of Évora, built around the 1st century AD. Nearby, the Sé Cathedral and Chapel of Bones offer a glimpse into different chapters of the city's past.

Évora is also a great place to experience the Alentejo's food and wine culture. In 2027, Évora will be a European Capital of Culture, a well-deserved title for the city with a long history yet so beautifully preserved and vibrant (even has multiple Michelin-guide restaurants).
